Portland - Living Beyond IBD: Coping with a Shi#%y Condition

Start Date: September 21, 2017
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM

Join us for this education program for people living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis featuring Dr. Michael Harris. There are many challenges to living a life with IBD whether it’s dealing with the various treatments, medications and their side effects, multiple surgeries, and ever-present uncertainty. There is no other chronic health condition where effective and adaptive coping is so very important as IBD can rear its ugly head without warning.  Dr. Harris will discuss approaches that work and those that don’t when it comes to “living beyond IBD.”  He will be speaking from both his 30-year career working with young people with chronic health conditions as well as his 35-year personal journey with UC.
