Diet and Nutrition

Paying special attention to what you eat may decrease your symptoms and replace lost nutrients. Restoring and maintaining good nutrition is key in managing IBD. However, it can be difficult to eat enough calories and get enough nutrients, putting you at risk for becoming malnourished (1).

You can maintain adequate nutrition by working with your healthcare team, making healthy food choices, and limiting consumption of foods that worsen your disease symptoms.

Check out the below videos to learn more about how diet and nutrition can impact IBD and find key recommendations to maintain good nutrition.
