Effects of IBD on Women
We are excited to share with you our new resources dedicated to women living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Our newly launched web page, “Effects of IBD on Women,” offers comprehensive information on how IBD can impact various stages in a woman's life and how these events can affect their IBD.
Through informative articles and videos, we address key topics such as puberty, fertility, pregnancy, and sexual health. These resources aim to empower women with IBD to make informed decisions about their health and well-being and support them through every stage of their journey.
Your continued support makes initiatives like this possible. Together, we can ensure that all people living with IBD have access to the information and resources they need to thrive.

Eli Lilly IBD-techt Study
Eli Lilly is running a four-week study and is looking for Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and healthy control patients.
The IBD-techt observational study seeks to determine if it is possible to detect bowel movement events using passively collected physical activity data from digital wearable devices. Today, patient diaries are the only means to collect this information which presents substantial burden. If such an algorithm can be developed, it has the potential to empower patients with IBD to be actively engaged in monitoring and managing their disease. In this four-week study, participants will answer a few brief questions after each toileting event and continually wear the EmbracePlus wristband and EmbracePlus Elastic Strap devices. There is no study treatment or intervention. Participants will not be asked to take a medication or to change any aspect of your current health routine. Participants will be compensated for contributing their information though the questions on their iOS device and wearing the EmbracePlus wristband and EmbracePlus Elastic Strap devices provided during the study.
You may qualify if:
- You are 18-64 years old
- You have access to an iOS device (Apple iphone, iPad)
- You are willing to wear a EmbracePlus wristband and EmbracePlus Elastic Strap for 4 weeks
You may not qualify if:
- You are pregnant
- You have irregular sleeping patterns
- If you are typically awakened 8 or more times a night to use the toilet
Study eligibility will be determined based on additional criteria assessed through the link below. To learn more about this observation study and to see if you may be eligible, please visit this link.
We truly appreciate your interest and help! Your participation could make a difference for patients who suffer from Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
