Your Advocacy Efforts ARE WORKING!
Just days after we held a rally in front of United Healthcare’s national headquarters, the company announced it would suspend its new preauthorization requirements for doctor-prescribed colonoscopies and endoscopies. And now—Humana has announced it will eliminate authorization requirements for diagnostic colonoscopies by January 1st.
-----AND-----
The U.S. House Appropriations Committee has delayed its vote on a massive 37% cut to medical research funding. These cuts would slash IBD research as well.
Thanks to volunteers like you taking action, members of Congress are realizing how unpopular and harmful these cuts would be to IBD patients and others.
Lawmakers have rescheduled the vote for early September. That gives us more time to educate members of Congress about how these cuts would impact people with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
To stop these cuts, we need to be bigger and louder than ever before. Do you know two people who share your passion for supporting the needs of IBD patients?
Join Our Advocacy Network: Help us urge Congress to protect federal funding for IBD research. Your voice matters- contact your representatives today.
Spread the Word: Share this information on social media and within your community to raise awareness about the urgent need for research funding.
Together, we can protect the future of IBD research and ensure that patients continue to receive the care and hope they deserve. Please check this page regularly for updates—your engagement is more critical now than ever before.
