June IBD News & Updates from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Wisconsin Chapter

Check out the latest news on events, education, and getting involved with the Foundation!

Message from the Executive Director

Happy First Day of Summer! Here at the Wisconsin Chapter, we kicked off June with our Take Steps Walks in Milwaukee and Madison. The newly reimagined walk experience proved to be one for the records! You showed up in a huge way and your passion for the mission radiated throughout the park! If this event is any indication of how the remainder of the year will go for the chapter, I have no doubt that we will continue to reach new patients, provide more resources for our community, and knock our fundraising goals out of the park. I am SO proud of the work of this community -- thank you, thank you, thank you! Our Milwaukee walk photos are on our Facebook page, and keep checking back to see our Madison photos soon. Keep reading below to learn about our upcoming events as well as resources for patients, providers, and caregivers. If you couldn’t make it to the walk, there are still many other ways to get involved! Additionally, the Foundation’s MyIBD Learning Patient & Caregiver Education Programs provide the very latest on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research, treatments, and therapies to share resources and improve patient’s quality of life, at any stage of their IBD journey. We look forward to seeing you in the coming months and hope your summer is off to a great start! Yours in the fight, Leslie

Thank YOU for Taking Steps

We'd like to give a big THANKS to everyone who joined us at our Milwaukee and Madison Take Steps walks earlier this month. Combined, we welcomed over 500 walkers and have raised more than $125,000 to date. Talk about a success! With that being said, there is still time to continue your fundraising efforts and earn those rewards. You have until December 31, 2023 to contribute to any of our Take Steps walks in support of the Foundation's mission. And even though Milwaukee and Madison have already taken steps, we're keeping the momentum going for our 2023 Green Bay Take Steps walk this fall. To learn more or get registered, visit the link below or get in touch with Makenzie Diffley via email or at (646) 369-0779.

Also, don't forget to check out our chapter's Facebook page for exciting updates regarding our walks!

Thanks to Our Sponsors!

Our Take Steps walks wouldn't be possible without the generous support of our national and local sponsors. We're so appreciative of their generosity and dedication to advancing the Foundation's mission! If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring, contact Makenzie Diffley via email or at (646) 369-0779.
