Get to know McKenna:
"I have been involved with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation as a volunteer and fundraiser for more than 10 years, fueled by a close personal connection to IBD. In 2015, I transitioned to a staff role at the Foundation, developing the Team Challenge and spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures programs in Northern California and gaining experience in committee and volunteer management, fundraising, and Foundation-specific programming. During that time, I also spent my first week as a counselor for Camp Oasis, which sparked a passion for serving young patients and families. I moved back to my sunny hometown of San Diego, CA in 2018 and have spent the last year gaining experience in event management, community relationships, and administration at a non-traditional private school. Now, I am thrilled to be returning to the Foundation as California Education Manager to grow the reach and impact of educational programs and support resources, and improve the quality of life of IBD patients and families." - McKenna Plant, CA Education Manager
