Meet our 2021 Man of the Year and Humanitarian of the Year

We are so excited to announce that we will once again celebrate The Fete for Crohn’s & Colitis on Saturday, October 30 at the Westin Waterfront Pavilion. The Fete is the New England Chapter’s premier fundraising event.  This will be a meaningful evening as we bring together the IBD community of patients, caregivers, medical providers and supporters to recognize our incredible honorees and to raise awareness and critical funds to advance the work of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s mission.

This year we are thrilled to honor Dr. Steven Fine as the Humanitarian of the Year alongside Geoffrey Schechter as the Man of the Year.  We are humbled to be working alongside both men who have already made important strides within the IBD community. Dr. Fine is the founding physician of Greater Boston Gastroenterology, PC, and has practiced in the MetroWest area for over 27 years. He serves as Chief of the GI Department and Endoscopy Service at MetroWest Medical Center and is the Medical Director of Boston Endoscopy Center in Wellesley. Dr. Fine has been a member of the New England Chapter Medical Advisory Committee for 14 years and served as the Chair for the past two years.

Geoffrey is a portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management, where he has worked since 1993. Geoff earned a BBA from the University of Texas as well as his MBA from Boston University.  He has been involved with the New England Chapter for over 20 years by serving as a Board member, attending fundraising events as well as being a committed fundraiser.

We are so proud to honor both men at The Fete this year!  For more information about how you can be involved or make a donation, reach out to Kelli Brown at [email protected] or visit the website at New England Chapter - The Fete for Crohn's & Colitis 2021
