Extraintestinal Manifestations of IBD Webinar for the Black/African American Community
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can cause a variety of symptoms, both in the gut and outside of the gut. When the disease affects other parts of the body, this is known as an extraintestinal manifestations (EIM) or complications. Between 25-40% of IBD patients experience extraintestinal manifestations, commonly in the joints, skin, bones, eyes, kidneys, and liver. During this webinar, we will address how IBD manifests itself outside of the gut specifically in Black/African American patients.
