Participate in a Paid IBD Research Study

Is Your Teen Navigating Life with Crohn’s or Colitis? Participate in a Paid, Non-Invasive Research Study

If you’re the parent of a teen (ages 12–17) living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), such as Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, or another chronic health condition, you and your teen may be eligible to participate in a paid research study.

ClariMed Inc., a research consultancy, is conducting a non-clinical, in-person usability study in Cambridge, MA, from October 20-28, 2025. The goal is to gather feedback on a new medical device designed to support adolescents managing IBD. Participants will complete simulated tasks using an injection device; the device will not be used on participants or anyone else, and no medication will be given or used.

Each participant will attend one session lasting about 1.5 hours. Sessions are confidential, voluntary, and led by trained researchers following strict safety and ethical guidelines. Parents or guardians are welcome to observe their teen’s session to ensure comfort and safety.

  • Compensation: Qualified adolescent participants will receive $225 for their time.
  • Caregivers/parents can also participate in a separate session for $225.
