Team Challenge
Go Beyond the Finish Line
Team Challenge is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s endurance program — it’s more than crossing a finish line. It’s about going farther, faster, and together — for every person living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
From world-renowned races like the Cape Town, South Africa to BMW Berlin Marathon to events right in your backyard, anyone can be part of the challenge — and part of cures for IBD.

| At 16, Jaleel was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, changing the way he viewed his health. For years, he faced challenges managing the condition until he discovered running. In 2021, after moving to Charlotte, Jaleel joined a run club and quickly made friends. What started as two miles soon became four half marathons, and he’s now preparing for his first full marathon. While feeling immensely proud of himself for learning to live with Crohn’s disease, Jaleel is still shocked that he can run 10 miles with ease. Crossing the Chicago Marathon’s finish line, donning his Team Challenge gear will be the icing on a gluten-free cake for him. |
