Healthline’s New App Helps Connect Those with IBD

Healthline’s New App is Showing the Power of Stories and Connections

Living with any form of IBD can be tough, especially when you feel alone in your struggles. Healthline’s new app IBD Healthline is setting out to change that by connecting people who suffer from IBD with one another. The app will match you with other members on the app based “your IBD type, treatment, and lifestyle interests.” You can then message the person that you are matched with to share your stories or even just to talk with someone. The app will even help you get over that initial period of awkwardness by asking both people questions to help them get to know one another. The app also offers “live group discussions” every day that focus on specific topics, as well as a section where you can read articles and news stories about IBD.

And if you find yourself wanting to connect with more people, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s New England Chapter also has several support groups that you can join, as well as its Power of Two program that will connect you with someone else going through a similar situation through a phone call. To find out more about these two programs visit it our Support Groups page.
