Dr. Rachel Winter - 2020 Rising Healthcare Leader in IBD

Selected by the New England Chapter’s Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Winter’s tireless work as a gastroenterologist at the Crohn’s and Colitis Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital made her an exemplary choice to receive this year’s award. In addition to co-directing the multidisciplinary psychosocial program as an Instructor in Medication at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Winter is a regarded speaker at IBD education programs, and dedicated supporter of the Foundation's largest fundraisers.

“She is a phenomenal physician, who has established a name for herself through her expertise and care for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases,” said Elaina Repucci, Director, Special Events for the Chapter. “The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation would like to thank Dr. Winter for her dedication to her patients and tireless efforts in the IBD community!”

About the event and the Young Professionals Committee

A Night in for the Cure on August 20th, 2020 is the YP Committee’s annual summer fundraising event. It is a re-imagined edition of the “Night in White for Cure” held last year at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in Boston, MA.

Since 2015, the YP Committee’s annual event has raised over $500,000 for the Foundation. The YPs are patients, allies and future leaders who inspire, support and educate in the fight for a cure.
