Student Research Fellowship Awards
Below please find guidelines for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation’s Student Research Fellowship Awards:
Objective: This program offers financial support for students to spend time performing research on topics relevant to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), or Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, for a minimum of 10 weeks. The Foundation hopes to stimulate research interest in the area of IBD.
Applicant Eligibility: Candidates may be undergraduate, medical, or graduate students (not yet engaged in thesis research) in accredited United States’ institutions. Candidates may not hold similar salary support from other agencies.
Award Amount: Up to $2,500 (one time payment)
Award and Requirements: Up to 16 Student Research Fellowship Awards will be available for full-time research with a mentor investigating a subject relevant to IBD. Mentors may not be a relative of the applicant and may not work in their lab. The mentor must be a faculty member who directs a research project highly relevant to the study of IBD at an accredited institution. Awards will be payable to the institution, not the individual. A complete financial statement and scientific report are due September 1 of the year of the award. All publications arising from work funded by this project must acknowledge the support of the Foundation. Grantees who do not fulfill all obligations of the award are prohibited from applying for additional awards.
The Foundation uses the Proposal Central system for all grants submissions. Just select the Foundation program to which you are applying. All instructions and policies are available at this site.
