Camp Oasis Alumni Network

Camp Oasis Changes Lives

For over 20 years, Camp Oasis has been a safe space where young people living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis can make friends, gain confidence, and create life-long memories. Camp Oasis is a special community that unites campers, passionate volunteers, and dedicated medical professionals during a magical week full of fun and support. If you have experienced this program, then you know - it is life-changing.

Connect. Engage. Inspire.

The Camp Oasis Alumni Network seeks to connect those with a passion for the program, engage them in meaningful opportunities, and empower them to inspire others to support camp and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s mission. Current and former volunteers of the Camp Oasis program are eligible for membership. Former campers aged 18 and older are also invited to join.

Alumni Network FAQs

Q. Who is eligible to join the Camp Oasis Alumni Network?
A. All volunteers, past and present, are invited to join. Previous campers aged 18 and older are also welcome to join.

Q. Is there a fee to join the Alumni Network?
A. No, the network is free to join. We hope you will make a minimum $20 donation during registration so you will be eligible to receive a Camp Oasis Alumni Network window decal.

Q. Do I have to register as a member to the network every year?
A. No. It is a one-time-only registration process.

Q. What type of engagement opportunities may be available?
A. Camp Oasis needs a lot of hands and voices to make each season successful.  Sharing social posts about volunteer needs or supply wish lists, chaperoning a bus of campers, representing camp at local education events, and checking-in campers at camp locations are just a few examples. Our national office and local chapter have events, committees, and advisory groups also need passionate volunteers.  Alumni Network membership outreach will keep you in-the-know about these opportunities.

Q. What activities will be allowed in the Facebook group?
A. We hope the group becomes a source of emotional support and encouragement where members will find mentorship, internship opportunities, life with IBD advice, and so much more. Volunteers and staff will moderate the site and remove any posts that offend or do not comply with our group rules  (to which members must agree when joining).
