Announcing our Northwest Chapter Auxiliary Board

10/11/2024 — The Northwest Chapter is thrilled to welcome Aleah Deschmidt, Lexie McGinty, and Nina Stash to the Northwest Chapter Auxiliary Board.
Aleah was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the age of 14 and immediately got involved with the foundation. She has been a camper and now a counselor at Camp Oasis for many years and is also an alumnus of our National Council of College Leaders. She now works in autoimmune disease research and has recently taken up crocheting in her free time. She lives in Seattle with her cat and husband.
Lexie is an MS3 at the University of Washington School of Medicine - Seattle. Lexie is an alumnus of the University of Washington, where she earned her B.S. in neuroscience. Lexie has experience as a research assistant, utilizing her background in electrophysiology and behavioral neuroscience.
Nina grew up in the Seattle area and started connecting with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation many years ago when her brother was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. She is currently a medical student at the University of Washington and loves to backpack, have family time, and plan events for young adults with Crohn’s and Colitis!
