Welcome to the Power of Two!
The Power of Two is a peer-to-peer mentoring program that brings people living with IBD together for a goal-oriented relationship of active listening, practical guidance, and understanding through shared experiences. This time-bound connection between mentors and mentees is designed to build confidence, strengthen decision-making, and empower meaningful steps towards living well with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.

Who is a Power of Two Mentee?
A Power of Two mentee is a patient or caregiver who is ready to address a specific IBD-related health goal through short-term, focused engagement with a trained mentor. If you are looking to make practical adjustments that empower your IBD management and support informed decisions, Power of Two may be right for you.
- What Can a Mentee Expect?
- Match with a highly trained volunteer mentor with a connection to IBD
- A safe, confidential space to share experiences
- Over four meetings, you will work with your mentor to:
- Set an achievable health goal
- Develop an action plan
- Check-in to assess and guide your progress
- Discover tools and resources to support your immediate goal and long-term quality of life
- Improved knowledge and confidence in managing your IBD
Who is a Power of Two Mentor?
A Power of Two mentor has a personal connection to IBD and wants to share their lived experiences to empower others on their Crohn’s or colitis journey. Through a series of focused conversations, mentors guide mentees through practical steps toward a specific health goal—improving confidence, informing decisions, and enhancing their quality of life.

- Candidates must meet qualifications and complete a formal application and interview
- Live virtual training plus a period of hands-on mentorship
