Ryan Fitzpatrick Joins the Northwest Chapter Board

Ryan has been living with Crohn’s disease since his early elementary school days. In 4th grade, his parents and doctors made the very difficult but necessary decision for him to undergo a surgery to ensure he could grow to his full potential. Thanks to advancements in treatment options, Ryan’s Crohn’s has been in remission for over 15 years. Growing up with the condition, his parents were especially focused on ensuring that he not only reached his full potential but also didn’t allow the disease to stop him. He actively participated in soccer, baseball, and tennis.

The experiences he had with Crohn’s during his formative years continue to impact him to this day. He carries memories not only of the pain and inconvenience but also of the embarrassment that often comes with the disease. He aspires to use his contributions to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation to alleviate the challenges faced by other young children and teenagers who are navigating similar experiences.

Currently, Ryan resides in Gig Harbor, WA with his wife and 10-year-old daughter. He pursued a business degree with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS) from Oregon State University. Over the past two decades, he has dedicated his career to the digital space, encompassing roles in social media, digital media, e-commerce, and digital analytics at both start-ups and large enterprises. He aims to apply his expertise in this area to expand the reach and digital sophistication of the Northwest Chapter. For leisure, Ryan enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, and long-distance running. He completed his first (and perhaps last) marathon last spring.
