Newly Diagnosed: Pediatrics
If your child was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, you may have a lot of questions. As a parent or a caregiver of a child with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), you are now taking an important step: learning about your child’s disease, how it is treated, and how you can help them learn to live with their disease.
Below you will find some introductory videos to help get you started on your educational path. These videos walk you through some key information about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and what your child may experience. The more you know, the better you’ll be able to advocate for your child’s needs. Most importantly, you’ll be armed with the knowledge and resources to be an active member of your child’s healthcare team.
