Welcome to the Northern Texas/Oklahoma Chapter!

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D. in New York City.

Based in Dallas, Texas, the Northern Texas/Oklahoma Chapter serves the northern half of Texas including the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, east and west Texas, and the entire state of Oklahoma. We fund research initiatives, raising awareness and providing education and support programs. Learn how you can get involved with our local efforts!

While the causes of IBD are still being researched, we do know that it involves an interaction between one’s genetics, gut microbiome, immune system, and environmental exposures. The Foundation has been funding research in the areas of microbiome and genetics for over a decade.
