Welcome to the Tennessee/Alabama/NW Florida Chapter!

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D. in New York City. The Tennessee/Alabama/NW Florida Chapter recently combined in late 2024 and serves all of Tennessee, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. 

Prior to the Chapter combining, the Alabama/NW Florida Chapter was founded in 1987 by J. Marshall Garrett M.D. and Conrad & Frances Cypress, and the Tennessee Chapter was founded in 2005. Tennessee and Alabama/NW Florida are both represented by a Chapter Board of Directors, and additional leadership volunteers.
