Upstate Northeastern New York Chapter
Welcome to the Upstate Northeastern New York Chapter!
The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D. in New York City. The Upstate Northeastern NY Chapter was founded was founded in 1983 by a group of local area volunteers and patients, and functioned as an all-volunteer Chapter holding support and education meetings, and fundraising events through September, 2012. In October of 2012 the chapter officially became a staffed-chapter.
Headquartered in Guilderland, NY, the chapter serves the following counties in Upstate NY: Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Northern Dutchess, Jefferson, Sullivan, Greene, Columbia, Schoharie, Fulton, Montgomery, Oneida, Saratoga, Ulster, Washington, Warren, Essex, Clinton, Franklin, and Herkimer.
The Chapter is a proud member of the Capital Region Chamber.
