Georgia Chapter COVID-19 Safety Policy

The Foundation remains deeply concerned about the impact of COVID-19 on U.S. communities and is committed to placing the health of the IBD community at the center of all our decisions.  As the country begins reopening, we continue to monitor the situation and make the best decisions for our patient and caregiver community.

We are closely following all CDC, local health, and state government recommendations regarding indoor and outdoor gatherings for every community in which we operate.

We are evaluating each of our in-person programs based on a variety of factors, including local health advisories, venue, and expected attendance. We intend to take special care and maintain a conservative stance given the nature of inflammatory bowel disease and the potential risks to members of the IBD community. The Foundation’s decisions regarding the reopening of any in-person events will be made in full consideration of the local chapter’s situation and perspective.
