Get to Know Dr. Shova Subedi: Rising Healthcare Leader in IBD

Providing care to children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been the cornerstone of my clinical practice and research for over a decade. As the Associate Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, I am deeply committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to children and families navigating the complexities of IBD.

I am currently leading the development of an Intestinal Ultrasound Program at my institution (Hasbro Children’s Hospital), which will provide advanced, non-invasive diagnostic tools to enhance the care of children with IBD further.

I am passionate about organizing community-based initiatives to raise awareness and support families affected by IBD. I am honored to serve on the New England Chapter Healthcare Professionals’ Engagement Committee, where I help shape research priorities and advance the mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. I’m especially honored to be the 2025 Rising Healthcare Leader in IBD by the New England Chapter Young Professionals.
