New England Chapter Board of Directors
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is 100% invested in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and our New England Chapter Board of Directors are equally committed. We’re led by passionate individuals who are united by their drive to support and improve research funding while raising awareness and advocating to find a cure and better treatment options. We believe our dedication has improved the quality of lives for people living with these invisible diseases.
Elizabeth Orgel is our current board president, overseeing all chapter, community/volunteer, and board growth. Elizabeth became involved in the Foundation 2009 when her youngest son was diagnosed with IBD at age six. In 2013, her oldest son was diagnosed, making the Foundation’s mission and this community all the more important. Elizabeth has spent the bulk of her career in public relations and marketing in the tech sector, most recently, as an independent consultant, having represented both public and private companies. She was also a partner with Persephone Venture Partners, a boutique angel investing fund. Elizabeth started her career as a journalist and has dedicated significant time serving on several other local boards and non-profit organizations.
