Welcome to the Mid-America Chapter!

We serve Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D. in New York City. The Mid-America Chapter is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and serves all of Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas.

We are all deeply concerned about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in U.S. communities.

  • We are closely following all CDC, World Health Organization, and local health authority recommendations regarding travel and public gatherings for every community in which we operate.
  • We are evaluating all our public programs based on a variety of factors, including speaker availability, venue, and local health advisories.
  • Please do not assume that the cancellation or rescheduling of an event in one location means that events in other locations or on other dates will be canceled.

We will continue update this page regularly with additional information and policy updates as we have them. Please take care and stay well.

MyIBD Learning Webinar

While the causes of IBD are still being researched, we do know that it involves an interaction between one’s genetics, gut microbiome, immune system, and environmental exposures. The Foundation has been funding research in the areas of microbiome and genetics for over a decade.
