Safety & Medical Care

Highest Standards of Safety & Care

At Camp Oasis, we strive to meet the highest standards of safety and medical care for all of our campers. Taking care of your child and providing the best possible learning and recreational environment is our biggest priority. Each of our camps is equipped with a 24-hour on-site health center which is staffed by physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals who are experienced in working with children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Careful steps are also taken to ensure that our campers follow the medical regimens prescribed by their doctors back home.

In addition, all Camp Oasis medical volunteers and counselors must meet our application requirements which include a rigorous personal interview, criminal background checks, as well as specialized training and staff orientation.

We recognize that not all families will be comfortable sending their child to in-person camp. For this reason, we will continue to offer online virtual sessions. CampOasis@Home will have fun and interactive sessions plus a personalized Camp-in-a-Box. CampOasis@Home will serve only those campers not attending an in-person session.
